May is a very busy month at CMS. Below is a list of important May dates and events at Chadron Middle School:
May 4th - 6 PM Student Showcase at CHS Auditorium
May 5th - 12:30-4:00 - HAL Field Trip to Hudson-Meng
May 9th - 6:15 PM 5th-12th Grade Band Concert at CHS Auditorium
May 10th - 1 PM - 8th Graders go to CHS for Freshman Orientation
May 10th - 1:30 - 4th Graders to to CMS for 5th Grade Orientation
May 11th - All Day 8th Grade Band Festival at CHS Auditorium
May 15th - 6:00 CMS HAL Parent Meeting at CMS Library
May 16th - 6 PM 7th/8th Grade Awards Night at CHS Auditorium
May 17th - Last day for students to turn in missing/late work
May 17th - Last day for CMS ASP
May 18th - 3:30 - 4:30 Retirement Party for Mrs. Hanson and Mrs. Bird at CMS Library - All Welcomed to attend.
May 18th and 19th - 7th/8th Grade Finals
May 19th - 2:30 PM 5th/6th Grade Awards Assembly at CMS Gym
May 22nd - Last Day of School
- Students report to school at regular time and go to first block for attendance
- 8:30 AM - Students, staff and parent volunteers meet in Gym to break up into service groups
- 9:00-11 - Service Activities
- 11:00-11:15 - Debrief in groups and complete event evaluation survey
- 11:15 - Dismiss
- 11:30 - Community Picnic behind CHS - All are Welcomed to Attend.
*If we have inclement weather on May 22nd, students will go to their regular classes from 8:00-11:15 before
May 22nd - 6:00 PM Parents as Partners (Final Meeting for the School Year) at CMS Library
